Johnstone's Trade Quick Dry Satin Woodstain is perfectly designed for both interior and exterior smooth planed softwoods and hardwoods. This flexible and microporous woodstain is both UV and water-resistant too and is available in a variety of colours.

Johnstone's Trade Woodworks Quick Dry Satin Woodstain is suitable for doors, trim, garden furniture, joinery, and even interior flooring too. To be applied with a brush, Johnstone's Trade Quick Dry Satin Woodstain can cover 12m² and is recoatable after 4 hours, depending on the conditions.

This wood stain is designed to resist cracking, blistering and peeling and allows wood to breathe and allows moisture to escape. Once applied it is showerproof within 1 hour and offers 6 years of weather protection.

For maximum protection on new, bare and untreated wood first apply a suitable wood preserver. Being water-based this wood stain dries extremely quickly meaning you can complete your project easily within a day.

Preparation

Ensure all surfaces to be stained are sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease, polish or any other surface contaminant. Remove any oils or resins using white spirit. Do NOT prepare the surface using steel wool.

Application

Stir thoroughly prior to use and ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Apply evenly by brush along the grain, paying particular attention to the end grain. Do not overlap brush strokes.

PLEASE NOTE: The final colour will depend on the original colour of the wood and the number of coats that are applied.
